Preparation for the global event was officially kicked off, as a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China, the Shanghai Municipality and the WorldSkills International on Jan. 30.

On the same day, the three parties also signed a letter of intent on the cooperative construction of a WordSkills Museum. The museum will be completed in September 2021, when the 46th WorldSkills Competition is being held in Shanghai. By then, the museum will be entitled to producing and issuing items with letters, logos and patterns related to the WorldSkills International and the museum itself. Abiding by the WorldSkills Vision 2025 Strategic Plan, it will furthermore serve as an exhibition center for WorldSkills, a platform of cooperation and exchanges, an international education base for young people and an official documentation center.
