A logo launching conference of the 2018 China Brand Day was held by the National Development and Reform Commission jointly with the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce, etc.on March 21.

The conference announced that the first China Independent Brand Expo and International Forum on China Brand Development, two events of 2018 China Brand Day would be conducted in Shanghai Exhibition Center on May 10th.
On the same day, the Shanghai municipal government unveiled the logo design of China Brand Day, signifying the countdown of the opening of 2018 China Brand Day.

With an area of approximately 25,000 square meters, China Independent Brand Expo is to showcase the history and achievements of Chinese brands development and is expected to attract more than 50 exhibitors, including local governments, state-owned key enterprises, intermediary organizations and 500 well-known brand companies.
International Forum on China Brand Development is to invite 800 to 1000 guests at home and abroad to conduct dialogues and exchanges on the theme of “Global sharing of Chinese brands”. The forum is to set up two parts: keynote speech and topic dialogue with the latter being divided into four links-- policy dialogue, entrepreneurs dialogue, governor and mayor dialogue, think tanks dialogue.
In April 2017, the State Council approved May 10 each year to be the China Brand Day. As an important birthplace of Chinese national industry, Shanghai is to take the opportunity of hosting the first brand day to shape the city’s brands.
