This year marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Walt Disney’s Mickey. Born in 1928, the mouse has been popular for 90 years and is a common memory of generations of people. A bilingual limited edition of Mickey Mousecomics was released in the main venue of Shanghai Book Fair on the opening day of the fair.

This commemorative version of comics is published by East China University of Science and Technology Press and Disney Publishing Worldwide. It chose from thousands of Mickey Mouse stories published from the 1930s to the beginning of the 21stcentury and collected those representative of the times into three volumes.

The book will be first sold in Disney stores. It has also been selected as one of the top 100 most valuable products by the Disney company amid the 90th anniversary and will be showcased in art exhibitions in 15 cities.

With a publication license issued by the Disney company, the East China University of Science and Technology Press has been launching popular Disney book series at each book fair since 2015. Apart from paper publications related with the Disney brand, the press has creatively developed digital reading products and courses as well.
