With less than one month to go, the upcoming import expo will be held in Shanghai. On Oct. 15, a fleet of 440 BEVs (battery electric vehicles) were unveiled and officially put into service. They will be used as shuttle buses for guests attending the expo.

Earlier this month, 350 electric taxis were also unveiled to serve the expo. Together with the safer and more environmentally-friendly buses, they constitute a key element of meeting the massive transportation requirements during the event.

With its LED lights and a sleek black and grey appearance, the new bus model features intelligent driving and interconnected monitoring so as to enhance the safety level during driving. To achieve a better ride experience, barrier-free footboards and integrated seats are among the other highlights of the vehicle.

Between Nov. 5 and 10, when the expo will take place at the National Exhibition and Conference Center, the public are advised to contribute to green mobility by utilizing environmentally-friendly transportation methods, like buses, the Metro, bikes and walking.
