With the first China International Import Expo around the corner, Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital, as Shanghai’s first international general hospital, is gearing up to act as the medical service team for the Expo. A professional team made up of doctors from 10 countries has been assembled.

According to a person in charge, the team can provide bilingual medical services in Chinese and English. Some departments are even equipped with staff with language abilities other than English and Chinese. By teaming up with Shanghai International Studies University, Jiahui can now serve patients speaking nine other languages including Portuguese and Arabic, with the help of student volunteers.

Jiahui is the only international hospital among the 18 medical insurance institutions in Shanghai designated for the exposition. So far, it has completed drills of regular services such as emergency treatment, call center, emergency surgery, hospitalization registration, drug prescription, imaging, assays, and multidisciplinary consultation in line with international standards.

In addition, an international emergency rescue team made up of six doctors will stand by during the expo between November 5th and 10th.
