Amore Pacific, a South Korean cosmetic group will showcase its face mask customized technology at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) to be held tomorrow in Shanghai. After analyzing participants’ skin types and problems through professional instruments, researchers proportion different ingredients to produce customized essence with the aid of the Internet of Things technology to make face masks with a 3D printer according to customers’ three-dimensional facial images.

This is the first time the company has showcased the technology outside South Korea.

According to the person in charge of the company, the technology was launched last year and was jointly developed by scientists at the Amore Research Center, the Korea Industrial Technology Research Institute, and the team of Korean 3D printer manufacturer Lincsolution.

The booth of Amore at the Expo is themed on "Innovation Leading the Beauty of Asia”. In order to showcase the innovative technology of Amore Pacific more completely, the exhibitor has planned several interactive events such as make-up show and two-color lipsticks customization activity.
