Embroideries, porcelain plates, wood-carved decorative products and stamp albums were once given by China as state gifts to the UK and collected as part of the British Royal Art Collection. Now during the first China International Import Expo, a modern-day state gift from the UK to China - a pair of breathtaking candle holders - has been showcased to the attendees.
The pair of candle holders, with their white porcelain surface and delicate golden patterns, sparkle and glisten at the Glory Casa booth in the National Exhibition and Convention Center, attracting many visitors to linger there to take a close look.
According to the staff at the booth, this state gift was given by Queen Elizabeth II to China in 2015. Their unique “gold inlaying on glazed surface” technique and purely handmade nature makes it extremely eye-catching.
In addition to the candle holders, many delicately made and gorgeous porcelains and chandeliers are also being showcased at the booth.
