At present, China is making all-out efforts to combat the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has won support from the international community.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) fully supports the decisive and effective measures taken by the Chinese government to combat the epidemic. The SCO countries highly value the actions taken by Chinese leaders and the government, and admire the Chinese people’s spirit of unity and the steadfastness and calmness shown by all the people involved in fighting the epidemic.

Founded on June 15, 2001, the SCO is an intergovernmental international organization. Its member states include the Republic of India, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People’s Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan (in alphabetical order according to the Russian name of the country). The Secretariat of the SCO is located in Beijing.

The SCO countries are willing to actively cooperate with China, provide assistance, and strengthen communication and coordination with China in order to resist the threats from the epidemic and fight against it.
