Arriving passengers picked up at airports
By:Wu Qiong  |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2020-03-09 18:31

From March 6, sixteen quarantine zones in 16 districts across the city, have been set up at Pudong and Hongqiao international airports, to pick up people arriving from regions hit hard by the COVID-19 epidemic.

Bold signage has been put up in the arrival halls of the airports’ terminals.

Staff are now on standby at the airports 24 hours per day. Volunteers with language abilities have also been dispatched to help foreign passengers.

After their arrival, passengers will be accompanied to the pickup vehicles at airports, heading to their home for a 14-day self-quarantine. For those who do not have a residence in Shanghai, they will be sent to concentrated quarantine spots.

The measure was taken under the strict requirements of prevention and control of the disease, considering the recent rise of confirmed cases outside China.
