Specific industrial classification on work resumption
By:Wu Qiong   |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2020-03-11 17:41

Specific classification on the industrial sectors has been made clear to ensure a smooth and sound work resumption across the city.

The clarification is based on the updated version of the Practical Guidelines for Enterprises upon the Resumption of Work and Production document which was issued on March 5.

Zhang Jianming, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, explained the Guidelines during a press conference held on Monday afternoon.

The industrial entities are divided into three categories: general entities, entities that need to be put on record, and those that are not suggested to resume work.

The first category refers to most industries, including construction sites.

The second contains six types: 1) museums, art galleries, libraries, cultural centers, community cultural activity centers; 2) gaming and entertainment places, singing and dancing places, Internet cafes, and chess & card rooms, etc.; 3) science education bases; 4) swimming pools, gyms, fitness studios, various courts, playgrounds for ball games, and other public sports venues; 5) beauty salons and hot spring spas; 6) cinemas.

The third category refers to some other industries with airtight venues that harbor risks of crowded gatherings, covering entities like travel agencies, group travel operated by online travel service providers, tourism products, performances in theaters and bookstores, and offline education and training activities.

With the epidemic better contained, the requirements will later be relaxed, and the classification, once updated, will be released by relevant authorities, said Zhang.
