Recently, the osmanthuses are in full bloom in Shanghai and the air is filled with their sweet scent when you walk on the road. The streets of Shanghai are full of osmanthus trees, but there is no better place to enjoy them than Guilin Park. After nearly a year of restoration, the park reopened in October this year, coinciding with the blooming season of the osmanthus.
Guilin Park features more than 1,000 osmanthus plants of more than 20 varieties, including golden, silver, orange and sweetolive. Every year, when the osmanthuses are in full bloom in autumn, visitors come in a throng, and some non-local visitors even come to enjoy the fragrant and colourful flower.
