BEIRUT, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon protested on Monday at Al Rashidiya camp in Tyre, voicing their rejection for the U.S. "Deal of the Century," Elnashra, an online independent newspaper, reported.

The protest comes in support of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' meeting with the United Nations slated for Tuesday to express opposition to the U.S. plan and to demand adherence to international law.

"Trump's Deal of the Century" is totally rejected because it does not meet Palestinians' demands and aspirations while it increases violations by Israelis of the Palestinian territories," head of Fatah Movement in Beirut Serhan Youssef told Xinhua.

Youssef added that Palestinians all over the world will fight against this deal and the only solution is the creation of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital while guaranteeing the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland.

Youssef said he has great hopes that the international community will support Palestinians in their rights.
