A new program called “Enjoy Work, Enjoy Life” was launched yesterday by the local human resources and social security bureau to help job seekers, officials said.

Based on the four-year-old Qihang program, which assists unemployed young people, the new program aims to help jobless residents of all ages.

“We aim to broaden employment support, allowing more people enjoy the successful results we have achieved in the Qihang program,” said Zhang Yunying, an official with the local employment promotion center, a branch of the bureau.

The program offers vocational guidance, career-themed activities, recruitment information and trainee posts.

For example, in Jing’an District, special career guidance rooms equipped with cameras, screens and computer systems are used to simulate job interviews.

To provide practical guidance, experts in various fields and representatives from companies are on hand.
