A 33-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly selling fake brand perfume on taobao.com since 2008, police said on Wednesday.

A large amount of fake perfume, including that of the brand Chanel, was found in a raid on her apartment on Chengshan Road, Pudong. Had the perfume been genuine, it would have been worth 150,000 yuan (US$22,000). The suspect, surnamed Ren, bought the fake perfume from Guangzhou and Shenzhen, police said.
