The BBC reported that the British Leave campaign reached the crucial 16.8 million votes in the nationwide referendum, which guarantees victory for those wanting to leave the European Union.
With all the votes counted, Leave votes totaled 51.9 percent against 48.1 percent in favor of remaining.
The turnout was 72.2 percent.
