BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping extended greetings to women on Wednesday, the International Women's Day, on the sidelines of China's ongoing "two sessions."

Xi extended his festival greetings to and best wishes for female lawmakers, political advisors and staff workers at the annual sessions of China's national legislature and political advisory body, and to women compatriots of all ethnic groups and from all walks of life in China.
