Dollar changes hands in lower 114 yen zone in early Tokyo trading

TOKYO, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 114 yen zone early Tuesday morning in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar changed hands at 114.13-14 yen compared with 114.10-20 yen in London at 4 p.m. and 114.07-09 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. The U.S. markets were closed Monday for a national holiday.

The euro fetched 1.0603-0604 dollars and 120.99-121.01 yen against 1.0600-0610 dollars and 121.00-121.05 yen in London and 1.0613-0614 dollars and 121.06-10 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.
