For some reasons, the company moved out of China but on the second day after China established diplomatic relations with US, the company’s US headquarter announced to return to China. Amid China’s reform and opening up, Coca-Cola has ushered in a golden age."This event is interesting. We have recalled the history and learned about China and Shanghai through Coca-Cola. Coca Cola, as the world’s largest beverage company, has a history of over 110 years. In May 1886, Coca-Cola was invented by Doctor John Pemberton, a pharmacist from Atlanta, Georgia. The brand opened its first bottling plant in China in 1927 in Tianjin and Shanghai. In 1947, Shanghai became the first city outside the US to top 1 million cases sold. In December 1978, Coca-Cola signed an agreement with the China National Cereals, Oils and Food Stuffs Import‐Export Corporation, marking the company’s re-entry into Chinese market.
