The fourth stop of the journey of cooperation.The museum is a design by Liu Xiaoguang and his firm RTKL (currently named CallisonRTKL), in consultation with the Institute of Shanghai Architectural Design and Research. On June 30, 1998, Xu Kuangdi, the then mayor of Shanghai, greeted Bill Clinton and his wife Hilary at the Shanghai Museum. Xu announced that RTKL’s design plan for Shanghai Science and Technology Museum had been selected, and Bill Clinton was invited to unveil the design drawings.
