At least 100 collections of Qipao were displayed in two parts. The “Exhibition of Classic Shanghai Style Qipao” displayed the classic designs from 1920s to 1940s – the 40 collections were from Shanghai Fabric and Dress Museum in Donghua University. The “New Designs of Shanghai Style Qipao” displayed business suits in the themes of “Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth”, etc – the 60 garments were designed by 5 professors from Donghua University and designers from 5 bespoke Qipao brands.
