When  it comes to the hottest TV series this summer, many people blurt out  "Yanxi Gonglue" ("Story of Yanxi Palace"). Except for the spunky heroine  and the on-screen couple of Emperor Qianlong and the empress, audiences  have been impressed by the delicate sets which are classically simple,  elegant and full of Chinese elements. This book series is expected to be published over five years.[!--empirenews.page--]|Markelle Fultz, point guard of the NBA Philadelphia 76ers, visited Shanghai on August 7th to warm up the upcoming NBA China Tour which will be held in Shanghai and Shenzhen this October. The 20-year-old young star played basketball and games together with 14 Special Olympics athletes and 14 pupils from Yumiao Primary School to spread the passion and fun of NBA to Shanghai citizens ahead of the main event.[!--empirenews.page--]|A total of 81 exhibitors and 269 buyers attended a matchmaking meeting for exhibitors and buyers of the High-end Intelligent Equipment Exhibition Area of the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) on August 8. The most exciting news of the meeting is that the expo will see its largest computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool arrive in Shanghai in one and a half months.
