Just as the Shanghai World Expo of 2010 saw the arrival of a brand new fleet of “Expo taxis”, so at the 66-day countdown to the first China International Expo, and in line with the policy of energy saving and green travel, Shanghai Dazhong Taxi & Car Leasing Company announced on August 30 that their first batch of 50 Roewe Ei5 pure electric vehicles will be put into use from September. It is expected that the total number of electric taxis will increase to 100 before the opening of the Expo.
