Nation launches anti-AIDS campaign
The Chinese government has in recent years launched efforts to control the virus. The latest statistics showed that China's central budget for AIDS control and prevention had soared to 390 million yuan (US$47 million) in 2003 from a mere 15 million yuan in 2001.
