Most of the building is now made of white marble with few bricks. The exterior walls are carved with exquisite patterns, while the interior walls are laid with white or patterned tiles. These days an endless stream of tourists are coming to visit Yanxi Palace to see where Wei Yingluo, the main character in the “Story of Yanxi Palace”, resided.
