SPC & SCCPPCC Sessions 2005
The annual sessions of SPC(Shanghai People's Congress) and SCCPPCC(Shanghai Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) have begun. SPC is the highest decision-making organ of the city while SCCPPCC is the city's top advisory body.

While Shanghai's GDP should continue to grow by double digits this year, the government must do more to build an environmentally efficient economy, Mayor Han Zheng said yesterday during the opening of the annual plenary meeting of the Shanghai People's Congress.
